Same thing, saying he was calling from the Cyprus Hill Golf Course or something.
Whatever.
Got better things to do than to waste my time with spammers and golf.
Called to sell me advertising for the local golf course in town, for $395.
Said he represented the golf course, but in fact, representing a company that tries to sell advertising.
Just trying to be a slick little liar.
I dont like people who lie to me, using this approach.
I, of course, am on the do not call list. But they call anyway.
He called my company (we do weddings) and stated in his message that he was calling from the Okanagan Golf Club and wanted to partner up to do events. I know the people at the golf club and none of them have an american accent. Also, the phone numbers he gave me did not match. SCAM
they called me too. Actually, they were quite honest and said they called on behalf of the golf course. A very professional company all the way around.
I would respectively say you misunderstood their intent. If you called the course, asked for the gm or club pro, he would likely inform you that they have a partnership with an outside ad company to handle their ad calls in exchange for golf course product that they receive for FREE.
