I received a call from 503-253-6382 on January 6, telling me my Visa debit card was locked, (fortunately that's one I don't have!) and would I like to unlock it.
+7 on the end. So it was an 11 digit number. It was automated and stated that my MasterCard had a hold on it, and to press 1. I pressed 1, then it asked to put in my 16 digit card number. At that point I realized they were phishing for my credit card number so they could use it fraudulently. I was surprised that it was not from an 800 number, but instead a number that appears to be from my own area code.
