Received a call from this number on my office phone around 6:00 pm yesterday. Fortunately I'd already left for the day. Not the first call from this source.
I get calls from this number at least once a day on my prepaid cell phone. The recording states that this is my very last and final notice to lower my credit card interest rate. I wish it was the very last and final time they would call me - I am very sick of trying to get them to remove my number from their list. I am registered on the national do not call list but apparently that doesn't matter to this scammer. Furthermore, I don't have any credit cards!!!
This is truly frustrating. I normally don't answer unknown calls, however I do business in Oregon. I'm upset that these fraud companies are able to make calls like this.
message was: We send notices to your home on lowering your credit card interest for up to six percent. The only requirement is you must at least carry a three thousand balances on all the cards. Press one to speak to our representative. This is your final notice and we will not call you again.
caller did not identify who they are or what they are affiliated with. Seems they do scare tactics to make you call them.
