I got this call today it identified as Portland police it was a solicitor for home improvement I questioned her about why it showed the police department on my caller ID she started mumbling and I don't know. You call it back it gives you the choice of English or Farsi and then tells you to enter your card number and push pound at the end. What kind of scam is that.
Have been getting calls from this number. No message was left. I answered today (caller id: Portland Police). Turned out to be a collection agency. Will be reporting it to the real police.

the caller id..states PORTLAND POLICE...THE CALLER KNEW MY NAME...HE SAID HE IS A DESIGNER FOR HOME IMPROVEMENT....TOLD HIM I DO NOT OWN THE HOUSE..HE SAID OK THEN HUNG UP...I CALLED THE NUMBER BACK AND ALL IT SAID WAS..ENTER CARD NUMBER AND PRESS POUND....I AM REPORTING THIS TO THE PORTLAND POLICE SO THAT THEY CAN GET THIS PERSON....
