I'm so sorry I dropped my headset...can I get your consent to take a survey? ***can I have your consent to charge your number for over seas calls? *** scamslicious!
This is a fake robo call in that the female voice acts like she can't hear you to make you think you are talking to a live person. I start talking over her to see if she responds to my talking and she keeps on going. That is when I just hang up.
Robo caller, and like Robert said, it's F.A.K.E. It starts out as a woman saying, "Hello? (pause) Hello? (pause) Oh, sorry! My headset wasn't working right." From there, she starts talking about your recent resort stay (Ha! Like we can afford a vacation anywhere! Haven't taken one since 2001!) and then starts talking about a cruise in exchange for a survey. Pressing zero does nothing! I hung up, and tried calling back, but all it gives you is a man's voice saying, "This survey has ended. If you want removed from our list, please press 9", but when you press 9, it does NOTHING and the man's voice loops over and over again. Big scam. Found out this number set belongs to Level 3 Communications, Llc - OR (Oregon) and their website is http://conferencing.level3.com/en/global-customer-care-numbers/ so feel free to call 'em up or e-mail them and give 'em an earful! Reported them to the FCC Do Not Call list too, for violation. My number's been listed for years! Make sure to do this and to also give as many details as possible about your call.
Otherwise, DO NOT ANSWER! And block 'em, right off the bat!
A friend said not to say "yes" if they ask you if you can hear them, since they can report it as consent and charge you somehow. I'm not sure the message recording asked that, but better safe than sorry!
