The call came on behalf of a website www.goherepoker.com. I did not get any opt-out option. Anyone may file a claim with the federal "do not call" registry at www.donotcall.gov if you have registered your phone number with them at least 30 days ago (which I did.)
Unknown caller sent me a text message claiming I opted-in to their services (which are unknown since they didn't specify). If I wanted to be removed from their list I need to go to "2optout.com" by Dec. 26th. Sounded very suspicious...
I received the message twice: This mobile number in our OPT-IN list. If u didn't optin2 dis list, u can optout by going to www.2optout.com.GoNow b4 we broadcast on 12/26. www.2optout.com
Obviously, some kind of phishing! Apparently, the phone number originates from Mcminnville, OR. The provider is NEXTEL COMMUNICATIONS.
