Today his name is John ([email protected] - heavy African accent/dialect) wanting 1000 adult small 50/50 orange t-shirts.  I asked him if he had my email address so he could send in his artwork (scammers never send you art/almost always want blank shirts) and he gave me HIS email address instead.  For a savy? scammer, he seemed a little confused w/ the language.
I asked him if he was local.  No, in New York; shipping the shirts to NY. I told him there are plenty of companies in NY from which to buy blank t-shirts. I explained that if he was planning to pay with a credit card he would have to bring it in in person.  AND.........he was gone.  LOL

Did not get a call, but we did receive this...

Just got a message from Rich Malvin, asking for 500 Gildan, size small T-Shirts.  Says he will pay with Credit Card and that he's a real busy man... Wants them shipped to Bridgport, CT by next week.  Glad I'm reading all these posts!  Now using phone number 860-503-8017 and email [email protected].

Just got a call from (860) 503-8017.  I know that is not the # in question in this forum, but he said his name was Rich Malvin so I googled the name and it lead me here.  So... he wants to order 500 50/50 Gildan white medium t-shirts, shipped to Los Angeles.  860 is the area code for CT, primarily Hartford.  He has a med. thick African accent, sounds to be about 30-something.  I told him that there are tons of t-shirt sellers IN L.A. but he insisted on buying from me.  Today he is using [email protected].  I told him we had a policy of having to match the name on the credit card with the name on the driver's license as well as matching the address on the license with the billing address on the card.  He said he doesn't drive.  I said we would have to have a photocopy of a state issued ID card.  He replied that he would provide his passport.
Man, I wish I had time to mess with this one.  LOL
BEWARE of ANYone and EVERYone who tries to buy blank t-shirts.  You WILL be scammed!!!

He keeps calling my store and again today 8-1-14.  He says his name is Rich Malvin and wants to order 500 orange blank shirts shipped to California.  My employee didn't realize it was a fraud and sent him an invoice.  He called back to pay and I said to send a check.  Hope I never hear from him.   702-580-6499 was his number.
