Very convincing recorded computer prompt from "Emily" who says she's having trouble with her headset. I hung up before "Emily" could tell me my she was spamming my Do Not Call List phone number. Could it be for a warranty on the car I haven't had for three years or perhaps lowering the interest rate on my credit cards? Maybe jail time is imminent courtesy of the IRS or I've been selected for a dream vacation. No, I know, it's that long lost relative who died and left me a windfall. I only need to give her my bank information so the funds can be wired transferred.
I received a call late Monday (1/9) afternoon. I wasn't near the phone and my call blocker requires first time callers to identify themselves and to call back. They did neither, so I knew it was a spammer. Caller ID only said "Unknown Name." I live in Oregon, but in a different area code.
