This number and a few others assoc with the same company keep calling. It's a phishing scheme I think.
Every time I ask to be removed from their list they hang up. I receive several calls a week. It's basically phone harassment.
Calls and ask what career fields I am interested in. His name was James - both calls I received.
First call - I say I'm at work, can I call you back? Hangs up immediately with no warning
Second call - He says he is responding to an inquiry I made to further my education. I say I haven't inquired about school. He continues asking what fields I'm interested in. I say I'm not interested in school or career change. "I'm not trying to enroll you in anything today. What fields are you interested in?" I say none, I'm not planning of going back to school. "Some of the degree programs are business administration....blah blah blah, are you interested in any of those?" I realized this was definitely some kind of phishing scam since none of my responses deter this guy "James". I just hung up. When I call back he says "Degree Programs, this is James" I called back a few minutes later and the recording claims it is "Career Advising Center" (very generic and no company name stated) and if you press 1 - you can enter your phone into Do Not Call Registry (I don't trust it so I didn't do it) and press 2 to CLAIM A $25 VISA CARD -- there you go- confirms it is a scam, in my opinion. I'm blocking the number now.
