I just got the same call! I am getting calls from all over the states and I think it's all from the same bogus car warranty company...Can anyone think how they might have gotten our contact information?
I too, received a call from this idiot ON MY CELL PHONE.
Typically, these are pirates calling from an out-of-country location -- most often using an internet connection. They either try and sell you an extended warranty for your car, or they tell you, they can reduce your credit card debt... just give them your credit card number and they will "go to bat" for you in working with your creditors.
Any sucker who gives out their credit card number to a [***] on the phone, probably deserves to be robbed.
The best thing to do if you do get to talk to them, is tell them "hey, that info is in my wallet in my car. can you hold just a few seconds while I run and get that for you?" Then, simply leave your phone near the TV where they can hear audio of something.... and leave them on hold for the rest of the day... They WON'T call you back.
They called me tonight at 7:05 pm. Caller ID said D. Lauder whom I had never heard of. They left no message. I don't like that they have my number. Also everyday I have several calls from an "unknown number".
Wonder if is is the same people who used this name tonight.
They have also found my cell #. Don't know how they are getting the number but mine is UNLISTED. This is the 5th call to my phone. This is getting ridiculous. Anyone know of a DO NOT CALL list that actually works?
