Got a call from a middle eastern sounding man saying he was from Microsoft and needed to fix my computer. I played along while I googled the phone number. When I confronted him about being a scammer (FTC website) he told me that he "didn't know what I was talking about and he's not gay"
I responded that I didn't believe him and never said he was gay and please don't call my phone anymore. As I was about to hang up I heard him say "F&?& you As%#€h$" after which I replied, what the ____ you just say?
We went back and forth with vulgur insults from mothers all the way to curry for 5 min or so(I cannot make this up people, I have witnesses). After the call my guest and I giggled, and hopefully he thought about his life, jumped off a bridge and hasn't bothered to call back. I encourage all of you to engage in a playful banter with "Michael from Microsoft" next time he pays your telephone a visit.
Just got a call today. They wanted me to go to my computer to allow them access into my computer to "fix" the problem my computer was causing. Bull. I told them to never call me again or I would report them to the authorities!!!
got a call from an overseas call center saying they were Microsoft and wanted to access my computer to correct the fact that it was being accessed for bad purposes. Right.
Got a call a few minutes ago from "a Microsoft Engineer" asking me if I was aware that they were being sent error messages from my computer and offering to help me fix this problem. I assured the guy who called me that I did not have Microsoft. He then asked if he was calling, Elizabeth Brown. It seems like he would have started the conversation by asking to speak with Ms., Brown if he was trying to reach someone by that name.
This is obviously a scam. Beware!!
Man with obvious mid-East accent telling me he was from "shipping and receiving." When asked, he didn't give any company or agency. As soon as I laughed, he hung up. Scammer.
just got a call. You can always tell when it takes a full minutes for them to get on the call since it's robo-dialed. You would think they wouldn't call a number that is with a state agency, but i guess they are random.. Hang up when I question.
