I too have been receiving these annoying calls on my work number, home number and even cell phone. So, I just called the FCC as indicated on one of the threads to file a complaint. The guy on the phone sounded like it was a common complaint but told me I needed to call the Federal Trade Commission to file the complaint. 877-382-4357. He said that these people are clearly trying to get information about you and your car. Dont even talk to them if you actually get the idiot on the phone. (blast 'em with a damn whistle and burst his ear drum if you do). Picking up the phone to call FTC now...
1-503-864-3213. Called cell, didn't answer because the number was not familiar. I see it's another one of the warranty scams or various other nefarious schemes to get your personal information.
As for the poor dupe that the number leads back to, he probably doesn't even know the calls are being made. Spammers can pick any phone number to show up on the caller ID. Heck, it might by YOURS some day. So go easy on ol Fidel.
