Caller ID says Awesome Deal, no message. Number can be traced to Portland or Woodland Oregon. I finally bought a new phone will call blocking. I'm sick of getting all these calls even when we are on the DNC list!!
This is illegal fishing. A recorded message explaining that this is a "courtesy" (ha!) call from "card services" inviting you to consolidate credit card debt with them....blah blah blah. I pressed 1 & got a rep, explaining that I shouldn't be getting these calls because we're on the Do Not Call list.....he hung up on me in the middle of a sentence, not so much as an "OK" out of him.
Kind of hilarious because if they WERE some kind of legit bank, would their caller ID # read "Awesome Deal"?? It sounds like the name of a Groupon Wannabe, not a legit debt consolidator or other financial company. Come ON.
Wanted to give me a 'last chance' to save on my credit card rates/balances. I have NO balances and told them to stop with their incessant calls and to put me on their DNC list. As usual, they hung up on me.
