They called my Google Voice # and instead of stating their name like it asked I heard "You have a call from .. "lowering your ra.." To accept press 1 ..." I sent them to voicemail which they hung up on. Based on the other logs about this number I can safely assume they were talking about lowering my rates. No, thanks, I like paying high interest rates.
Call moments ago, ignored PACIFICTEL. In the last week I've received dozens of telemarketing calls. The only thing I've recently done is obtained a rental vehicle in another city for a planned trip. I wouldn't be surpised if Avis, Budget and or Microtel sell information since most require some form of CC verification unless you used them before and your CC is possibly on file.
