Who called from 5039028997

I pressed 1 to speak with Operator to obtain more information. Stated company name is Card Services. I advised that I was on the DNC registry and the CSR stated, "No you aren't because if you were we would be calling you." I advised that I verfied my status on the registy the other day and my number has been there since 12/14/2004. The friendly rep Chip then said he didn't want to deal with me and hung up.  Please make sure to report these people to the DNC registry.

I did not answer the call but checked Google and found numerous complaints.  I will now try to block the call thru my wireless service.

am so tired of these people calling! each time I ask them to remove my number and their "friendly customer service rep" hangs up on me!!

Scammers at CardMember Services using another spoof number to make calls to numbers on the Do Not Call List.

These people called offering to "lower the interest rate on all of my major credit cards due to my excellent payment history." When I asked which card company they were calling from they said they represented "all of them." When I said I found that hard to believe because it certainly didn't sound like the credit card industry I know, they hung up on me.
I'm afraid they're probably trying to collect people's credit card numbers.
