They called and said they were from the Vehicle Protection Department and asked if I still owned my car (stating the specific year, brand, and make) and said they were calling because they had sent me some important .... I interrupted him at this point to clarify who he was calling from.. "the Vehicle Protection Department" of who? He said that was the name of their company and then started a long sales speech about how they are the leading this or that. I told him that I wasn't interested and to please remove me from his list.
I do recall often getting junk mail about extending my warranty, etc., but that doesn't constitute "doing business" with them such that they can call me when I'm on the DNC list. I'll be reporting them.
I received the same call today. I have gotten several calls form these people. Each time, I tell them that I am not interested and to take me off their list. Today, when they asked if I still owned the vehicle, I told him "No, I sold it". He responded with "learn how to lie" and hung up.
