Left a recorded message on my cell phone that it's a "final notice" from the IRS that they are filing a lawsuit against me and asked to call back on this number. I know the IRS doesn't work that way. They mail written notices about problems. Also, I know they don't have my cell phone #.
Obviously a scam.
I just got the same call and message. I called them back and asked for the persons name and badge number. The woman said her name was Sandra Lewis, badge number IRM725723. I told her I was going to call the real IRS and check this out and then would call back. She immediately hung up on me.
