Got a call today 10/21/14 from 504-207-1973 to my cell. I didnt recognize the number so of course I didnt answer it and let it go to voicemail instead. They didnt leave a message. 504 is the area code for New Orleans. A search with the phone company shows the phone number is listed as not in service.
Then I did a *67 Number Blocked call from a landline to this number. It answered with a "BOOP" sound, an immediate indicator that it's a call from a criminal gang that is calling from one location and illegally spoofing their number to appear as if it coming from another location, such as New Orleans.
After a few seconds of switching sounds, a female answered "This is Tammy, may I help you?" Hung up on the skank.
This gang tries to find gullible idiots who will answer their phones from unfamiliar callers. Anyone who answers is immediately high-pressured into some illegal scam. And their numbers are then sold to other criminals for further scamification.

I got a call from this 504 207-1973 and the lady name was Tammy talking about giving me a discount on car insurance i put her on hold and she hung up. Do i need to do anything?
(504)-207-1973 is fraudulent do not give out any personal information such as birthday address or any other identity information. If you did reveal any information Immediately file a report with the police
Received call from "Matt" saying he was Selling (Allstate Insurance)so they are using Allstate as a front. Matt immediately began a sales pitch trying to give me a quote. I interrupted him and stated: Place me on your Do Not Call List." Matt then proceeded with repeating the sales pitch to give me a quote. I interrupted him again and stated: I am on the National Do Not Call List you are illegally calling me already do not call me again.
At which point Matt lost his cool and yelled at me: Your a stupid Idiot, there is no such thing as the national do not call list. I don't know what year you think you live in and hung up.
I called Allstate Insurance Company and immediately filed a complaint to inform them of what happened. The Allstate Agent checked and verified the phone number that call me was not associated with their company. She then took a detailed complaint for Allstate to process. She was very nice and apologetic. Instructed me to file a complaint with the Police Department if I get any other calls from 504-207-1973 or that sound speciously like this ploy.
Just Got a Call from "Statefame/Nationwide" asking if I pay more than 45 dollars a month for car insurance. Stupidly gave him my zip code and told him how much I pay. He told me looks like they have the best rates and promptly hung up on me.
