Had an automated call, at my job, from 504-208-5973 stating I had a returned check from my financial institution, and to call 888-503-2691. I knew immediately it was some sort of a scam, since I do not have a checking account, and even years ago, when I did, I did not write checks. They answer the phone as Infinity Assest Management. I gave my name and asked for a business mailing address so I could send a "Cease and Desist" letter. I do not want these scam companies calling my work phone. I also asked for a "Validation of Debt" letter. She asked me for my date of birth, and I refused. I told her that I will no longer deal with them over the phone, that I want everything in writing so I have a paper trail. She said we only e-mail. (RED FLAG). She said it was a collection from a compnay I never heard of. She also wanted to verify my social with I declined to give her. The website looks legit enough, but very plain and looks like it was just made. When I looked up both numbers provided, I got nothing. Which tells me they are another fly by night scam company. So I am the 1st to report the number.
Company only started in March of this year in Louisiana. No BBB page yet. Address is a UPS store.

Send your letter both certified and by First Class, that way if they refuse to sign you have evidence.

Got a call from this number today stating that there was a legal matter at hand for for me and I needed to call them back immediately to stop the proceedings and if I did not call back they would put out a warrant for my arrest and start the trial without me...I am in Ca. and have never been to La. When I saw the 503 area code pop up I sent it directly to voicemail, I listened to the message and deleted it. maybe if they had said my name right I would have been a little scared but since they were so way off.......they were deleted!!!
