I just received another call and was able to answer before they hung up. It was someone calling himself Ira and claiming to represent amazon.com. I refused to talk to him further and requested that I not be called again. I had to say it twice.
I got a call the first time it was the same said my name then sounded like the hung up on me. Ignored the called for a while but as you said they also relentlessly called me as well. I answered today and 'SUPPOSEDLY' it is amazon.com calling to recruit at home workers to help with the site and make commission off of it. They asked if I was at home as they would walk me step by step through what I needed to do on the computer so I would understand what I was doing. I said I wasn't at home at the time, this way I can research this and find out more about it. They are suppose to call me back at a later date... that is if I don't discover this is a scam and block the number before then.
This number calls me at least twice a day and when I answer they hang up on me after about 3 seconds. This is very frustrating. I called the number back and they simply pick up and hang up. No one has ever spoken.
I have received 5 or 6 calls from this number, all today. The one time I saw the call coming in, the call disconnected before I could answer. On my two attempts to call them, my calls were disconnected without being answered. I know that those two calls went through, because they appear on my call log as completed calls.
