This number appears to be a scam for vacation rentals. They get rental information from HomeAway or VRBO and then respresent themselves as the owners on craigslist for a significant reduction in price. I almost fell for it all until they suggested a bank-to-bank transfer as payment and would not respond to inquiries through the VRBO and HomeAway system.
They seem to have this worked out pretty well as they even have a fake rental agreement you have to sign before they will accept payment. They also provided email addresses (but no phone #s) for prior guests to use as references.
I had the same thing happen. It looks legitimate...but beware. I thought that something was a little off so I asked for his phone number and he gave me this one. I googled the number and came up with this. Thanks so much for posting. You saved me 1000.00
Thanks so much for these posts!! The same thing happened to me as well. They are still operating the same scam (great vacation rental deals posted on Craigslist with photos and detailed descriptions, ask you to sign a contract, provide you with information on how to pay them via a bank transfer). Avoid them at all costs!!
Wish we had seen these posts before we got scammed, but was only provided with this number AFTER I asked for a refund and threatened to take action. Now we know, next step is filing a report with police. Will probably never see my money again, hard lesson to learn.........the names on our "booking form" was Kenneth Donard aka Kenneth D. Powers and David Smith. Can't believe we fell for it.
