Called them back and got recording about Allstate Motor Club. Listened to the spiel and was offered a choice of pressinr "3" to be added to their do not call list. We'll see how that works.
Why would you indicate AT&T has anything to do with a company that you do business with calling you to sell you something? I got the same call and am an ALLSTATE customer but I do not subscribe to their motor club. Implicating AT&T has something to do with it is ridiculous since I'm sure they call customers with T-Mo, Verizon, and Sprint cell phones too. Anyone else you want to randomly implicate? Bottom line is if you don't want to get calls on your cell phone, don't give the number out.
AT&T has nothing to do with it. They called my house phone too. It's telemarketing people. Leave the conspiracy theories out and tell them when they call you do not wish for them to contact you on your cellphone.
Called and I didn't recognize the number, but as I was already in a really bad mood and felt like going off on someone, I answered it. They knew my name and asked if this was who they had reached, I said, "Depends, who is this?" CLICK...They hung up in my ear! I, too, have Allstate auto and home, BUT I am with Verizon.
I just received a call, too and there was no one on the line. I have Allstate insurance and AT&T. I have told Allstate before NEVER to call my cell phone for anything other than important policy issues and absolutely never for any marketing offers/solicitations. So once again, they have ignored my instructions/edit. This has happened before and when telemarketers ignore my instructions, I get very testy. So, call again and they will receive my wrath!
