That's because you are talking to a very realistic Recording....not a real person. Wait until ole John finishes his speel and you will see. John is an A$$.
I think it is a new marketing technique. They call continuously until you are badgered into buying or paying anything just to get them to stop... For the life of me, I can't see why anyone would think that this type of harassment would be effective. I guess it is though, or else so many wouldn't be doing it.
Will these people ever give up? They've been calling me for months off and on, and our Better Business Bureau has already pointed out that this is a scam, that no one is giving you a free medical alert system!
Using a computer phone, they are able to mimic your area code so it looks like a local call when in fact they are out of the country and are "phishing" for your personal information. I don't answer the call, but I am aware of the scam.
Irritating calls from these people for weeks. I've reported it to the Do Not Call complaint site but the calls keep coming. I ignore them but sometimes have to get to the phone and discover its another call from this criminal. Hope this is handled soon. If you get a call from this number, just don't answer because talking doesn't work. Report it to Do Not Call. If enough of us complain, something will get done.
