225-532-4283 just called our business. Caller ID showed ups as Albany LA. Because we're located in Louisiana and we deal with a travelers, we have to answer all calls that come in. Knew it was going to be a spam call though, as Albany is a little town with a population of roughly 1000 people (have a friend who is from there). Answered the call and the tell-tale BLOOP sound was heard. Then the illegal robocall recording kicked in. It was calling us about Student Debt. You could press 1 for two questions to see if you qualify, or press 9 to opt-out (like I believe that one). Pressed 1. First question asked if I was as citizen. Pressed 1 for No (I am, but they don't know that). Second question asked if I had any student loan debt. Pressed 1 for No (I don't.) Call suddenly hung up. Blocking the number. And then like clockwork, the same scam company just called us back a few minutes later from a different possibly spoofed number 504-535-5921. Reporting the calls and blocking the numbers.
This number first called, like the report above, to see if I had students debt. I blocked it. They then called from the number being reported right now, 504-535-5921, and asked if I student debt. I told them they are spam and hung up. I forgot to block the number. The next day they called 4 times while I was in a meeting. I looked up the number via Google and found that it is spam. I have caller I.D. and typically don't pick up unknown numbers. They don't leave messages. Now the number is blocked. I'll keep blocking new numbers and report them here if its the same people. Everyone I know leaves a message....not Spam phone calls trying to get your SS number.
