So glad my memory didn't fail me today. I just got a call on my cell phone from 504-881-1056. I never answer other area code numbers I am not familiar with, but since this was our local 504, answered. "Hi this is [a male name] from the promotional department, can you hear me?" Remembered hearing SOMEWHERE about NOT answering YES to that question. So I answered, what do you want? He then proceeded to tell me I won a trip or something...cut him short with no not interested, don't call again and hung up.
I got a recorded message that was pretty sneaky. There is a pause and then the recording says can you hear me okay. I said no. I knew it wasn't a live person when "she" said I had stayed at one of their resorts before. To which I replied which one and there was no pause. It doesn't give you an option to opt out of future calls.
