I have received several calls on my land line from 505-219-0484. I do not know anyone with this number. When my answering machine clicks on, a female voice on the other line says "Carol, is that you?" then the line disconnects. I don't know how the person knows my first name since our number is under my husband's name. This has happened about 4 times over the last couple of weeks. I did try calling back the number, but it doesn't ring through. Not sure what is going on, but hope others who have experienced calls from this number are also reporting it so that something can be done to stop it.
Next time a call comes in from this number, don't give anyone a chance to ask if it's "Carol." Either don't answer or pick up the receiver and hang up immediately.
There are ways to block calls coming from certain phone numbers, which you can look into by searching on line for CALL BLOCKER. You own phone service provider might have a method where you can block numbers. Call them or visit their web site, if they have one, to investigate.
I have been receiving calls I don't answer if I don't know who it is this time they left an empty Voicemail I would like this number to stop calling me and any other unknown name calling me.
