Person named Tracy called and left a message threatening to come to my home and place of employment. Stated that charges had been filed against me by the State of NM. Did not leave specific or who filed the charges.
Stated that charges have been filed against me in Dona Ana County. Did not leave details other than I need to make a statement before the charges filed against me proceeded, stated the authorities would be picking me up very soon. Received calls from this number in the past and recognized it as being a scam phone number.
Tracy left a message that papers were going to be served on one of our employees and wanted to know the correct protocol. She said that the employee could call her to have someone meet her at her house or another location to avoid embarrassment.
I returned her call and Tracy asked if I had told the employee to contact them so that it would be better and less embarrassing. I knew it was a scam after that comment. I asked her why they didn't just call her and make arrangements? I told Tracy to just send someone here. She said that someone will be in tomorrow at noon to serve the papers, but I will bet that no one shows up.
