This number keeps calling, and another number ending in 6140. I called back the 6140 spoke to a rep, and gave them my social, my drivers license all phone numbers that I could remember from 10 years ago when i turned 18. They couldn't find anything in their system with my name in it. But yet that number ending in 6100 keeps calling.
They gave me a list of what companies citi bank services and i've never had a account with any of those companies.
Long story short they are unable to stop that number from calling me.
I called ATT and asked them can they block the number they said its a service that cost 4.99 a month. I said ya right not paying that. They said well you can change your number( i thought about it for a split sec, then he followed up by saying it will cost 39,99) i said no thanks and that was the end of that.
I'm not going to pay 5 or 40 dollars to stop a company from calling me that i've never delt with. I will keep calling and go up the chain as needed until this is done. They call every day, twice a day.
Caller said he was with Citi Financial. He's a bill collector looking for my brother. I have no idea how he got my number!! My brother and I don't even have the same last name. I asked to have my number removed, but he refused. I asked for his supervisor, and he refused. After I threatened a lawsuit if he calls again, he hung up on me.
caller called in the morning on saturday - caller id said "citibank citico" - i was expecting some kind of fraud b/c we have business with citibank so i answered - a guy very politely asked if i could "help him" find someone that may be related to me - he knew my maiden name! (i've been married 10 years) it is very generic, so he may have just pulled it out of a hat - but it really bothers me!! I asked if he was joking me - i didn't know a scott ... and he said thanks. very bothered by this - very!
