I received a call today from Thomas M. Harrigan who is Deputy Administrator and Chief of Operations for the DEA, he proceed to tell me that I purchased on line inb 2007 and this is a felony and local DEA agents were on the way to my office to arrest me. I will admit I was scared and proceeded to react, I was not scammed out of any money but after reading all the posts, I'm relieved to know I am not alone.
My mom just called me and said that she just received a call from a man who would NOT give his name but said he was a law agent (she cannot remember exactly what his title was, she just remembered he stated he was someone from "the Law" and proceeded to tell her that it was very important that she give me the following phone number and have me to call it back or that I would be arrested. She ask him for his name and he would NOT give his name but did give the phone that I should call. That was all of the details she remembered. ( My Mom is 79 years old and my Step dad is 84 years old and has just had surgery for gall bladder this week and had surgery for Skin Cancer in March of this year. She does not need phone calls from someone who is presenting himself as an authority of the Law and telling her that I am going to be arrested. The number is 507-216-5288. I did not try and call the number back. I am on a fixed income and I only have a specific number of minutes on my cell phone per month, therefore since I don't know who this "nameless" law agent is and do not know what I done in order for me to be arrested, I did not use my minutes on returning the call. If this was a call from a legit "Law Agency" why did he not tell her his name when she ask him for a name. He only gave a phone number for me to call and stated that it was very important that I return the call or I would be arrested........Has anyone else received a call from 507-216-5288 and the person calling stated he was an authority of the law and you are going to be arrested?? If so, do you have Caller ID on your phone and if so what info was listed on the Caller ID? My Mom spoke to the person and wrote down the number 507-216-5288. Just wondering for anyone who received any similar calls to what I am stating have Caller ID on their phone and if so, what specific info showed on your Caller ID. Most Caller ID's state the name of the person or the name of a company and then list the phone number they are calling from.
This is CRAP! The guy is a jerk!! Everyone should call this loser back ...day and night and drive him crazy! I have been doing and he does not like a taste of his own "medicine"
I got the same call. Is there anything we can do to stop this guy? I'd like to know what he would have to say if we went along with him. Would we still be arrested or can we pay our way out? He did leave a phone number with an extension. It's 507-216-5288 ext. 2884. I never called him back. My only question is what is he benefitting from by calling everyone and harassing them. I wonder if he knows what he's doing is a felony? I think I'll call them and do a little more research. Stay tuned!
