These are scammers. I have verified this with the FBI. Do not engage in conversation with these people. They are located overseas, so do not take their threats seriously!
I have received many calls and messages threatening me with a lawsuit they are calling from about 7 different #'s Indian guy with an american name . Jay Larouso stating that i have a pending lawsuit that needs to be settles, and that he works for a prosecuting office. I asked him where he was and he stated pakistan. The #'s called from come up as Massachusetts. I have no idea who he is looking for i don't even know the girls name. He said that if i am involved with this girl in anyway i will be held accountable! He then when to go on about owing thousands of dollars and offered a deal to settle. I told him he was nuts and that i was going to contact to FTC he laughed said he wished me good luck and then hung up on me. I have over 10 voicemails left by this company and they will not provide a name.
I have just received several calls from this very same number; the names being used are Ben Rogers and Charley (?) Smith. They have called me on my job and on my cell phone number (a new number by the way) and have insisted that I have committed a "cash advance" fraud. After listening to their spiel, I told them I wanted written verification to which they applied they were verbally informing of the lawsuit and that was all they were required to do....these people are scammers and probably have never heard of the Federal Dept Practice laws. I simply refused to go on with the conversation, told them I was reporting them to the FTC and the Attorney General and hung up...I suggest everyone who comes in contact with these idiots do the same.
I had someone call me from that nuber numerous times at my job and on my cell he was man stating to be chayly smith he had a indian accent saying that they were from the ftc and that I commited a fraud and that that I was going to get arrested either at my job or my house and that I could settle it with him on the phone for like 500 dollars they are scammers and liars he ain't getting nothing from me
