I got the same call from an Indian sounding woman. She keeps calling asking for a Britney Miller. Tried to tell me I would lose my job if I didn't pass a message on to her. Could have cared less that I said I don't know any such person.
Received a call from an unknown number. Caller had a heavy Indian-type accent, and the noise in the background sounded like a high school cafeteria. After going back and forth trying to understand him, the gist of what he told me is that my name and phone number were listed as references for a third party in a legal investigation. I needed to verify my information in order to get unlisted, or else I would also become liable in any legal proceedings. He would not give me the name of the third party, stating it was a sealed investigation. I hung up. A moment later, he called back and left a voicemail stating the same as above, and adding that I needed to contact his department at 508-306-1584 or I would be legally liable (for what, he didn't say). This sounds very similar to stories of people who received calls from 954-639-9260. He gave his name as Jason Watson (I think; he had a very heavy accent).

I received the same info as amy. Let him know the call was being recorded and I was reporting him to the police. The person who kept calling was mark lee.. very heavy indian accent lots of background noise. Whenhe called it was from a 282 number but left a message to call this one back when I called this one the person to answer was jason and told me the exact same thing.. fed up with these people.
I have been receiving calls on my cell phone from these people since December (when I switched carriers and therefore got a new number). I have told them to stop calling because the woman they are asking about does not have the number any longer. I told them that I was going to report them for harrassment and that just led to them calling my number over and over again. When I answered the phone and told them I had contacted the police the guy said that since I did that he was going to keep calling me. He became very rude so I hung up on him. I contacted the police department and reported them and am going to follow through with a call to my cell phone carrier. According to the officer I spoke with it is most likely that these people are in India and are calling through to a router which is why the number is different. I wish there was something that would make these jerks stop.
