Last month I had applied on-line through moneymutual.com for a payday advance and after being rerouted several times through the application process after giving out all my personal information I decided to shut it down. I never finished the process and I never received any funding from any lending institution. The following week my home phone and my cell phone began being flooded with calls from a collection agency threatening to call the police on me, calling me a criminal for check fraud. They wouldn't identify who they were or who they were collecting for and I know and understand my rights under the Fair Debt Collection Act and I also know that I don't owe anyone any money. When I blocked the numbers they were originally calling from they changed the number. If you do not answer the phone they will either leave a threatening message or call incessantly until you unplug your phone. If you return the caller's number all you will get is a busy signal because these people are running a scam. This 508-342-0097 number is the latest number in their scam. Would someone PLEASE do something about these people? They are breaking the law and I am sure they are stealing people's money. They didn't fool me, but they are very scary and I am sure a lot of people have fallen victim to them. They need to be stopped and they need to face charges.

This time I talked to the man. I asked him who he was, who he was working for, who he was supposedly collecting for. He would give no information, got very angry. Starting cursing and threatened to have me put behind bars. I told him my attorney would be in touch with him but he WOULD NOT stop calling. Calling incessantly to the point I will have to change my home number and my cell phone number. If I don't answer he leaves threatening messages. He breaks every collection law in the book and he isn't even a real collection agency anyway. He also threatened to call my work and tell my boss so I will get fired and go to jail. He obviously does not have correct information because I do not work outside the home and don't have a work number anyway.
I received a call from this number on my cell phone. Since I was not familiar with the number I did not answer then I saw that they left a message. This perso mms Kevin Clark left a threatening message and if I did not call back that they wish me good luck. Later that day the same person called my direct line at work. I ignored the call. They did not hang up and just kept the phone ringing. I called back and talked to this guy who said he was the supervisor. When I told him to stop calling my work he said he would call back and talk to my supervisor. Something has to happen to these people. They are free to call anyone and threaten us to take our money.
The same number, the same people. They will not leave a message because I have no name on my voicemail. But they keep calling. I am so sick of them. I do not want to change my number because my little girls knows it. They are very sick people.
