The foreign accented caller knew my wife by her first name which is -NOT- on published listings, new the year make & model of her car too, obvious telemarketer either trying to SCAM her or sell un-needed extended warranty for her auto.
Many States actually sell DMV data for a fee to marketing agncies, who in turn use predictive phone locations based on cross matching registration address to public listed phone numbers (POTS), onthose succesful match's they make the call to individuals
Got a call asking for me from this phone number today. When I asked who it was they hung up. I called them back and a machine says: Thank you for calling our office is closed. please call back during normal business hours m-fri from 8:30-5:30 PST. However, it was within that timeframe when i called. Must be a scam.
