Getting calls regularly from guy with accent...claims he was from T and T law group and asked for Jonathan Lowder, said his Social Security number was being investigated and wanted to verify number. Gets tiresome, but at least it's fun yelling at them.
This is a con artist from overseas. They get your information off of online websites when you fill out for loans and things like that. DO NOT PAY them anything. If you pickup, just tell them you are already aware they are con artists trying to steal money.
Gets the same guy from India with the same crap. I blocked the previous 917-639-5580 and he's now calling on this number. So I've now blocked this one. Eventually he should run out of #'s. There has to be some way of handling this...everyone is not that stupid to fall for his so called "collection" attempts.
Start asking them for their personal information. Then the next time they call ask them to hold on so you can get that information for them. Then just keep them holding while you do other things until they get sick of holding and they'll hang-up. Do it every time they call. If that won't work get a whistle and blow on it into the phone. It hurts their ears big time.
I love to just ask them to hold on and then walk away until they hang-up. They'll get sick of it. They keep calling here, too, and acting intimidating. They've met their match, now.
I received the same message from this Indian person. This is the third time they have tried this stunt with me. I soon as they hang up I call right back and do not say a word, they hang up and I call right back over and over again until they get so fed up with me they ask "WHAT DO YOU WANT?". I then tell them to leave me alone and that they should get a real job and leave innocent people alone. They never call back again.
