receive a phone call caller ID showed 000-000-0000
then it call back # 508-475=1376 I called back told them take the loan and shove it were the sun don't shine
07/26/11 - At 11:16am I received a call from 508-475-1919. At 12:02pm I received a call from 508-475-1920. At 12:25pm I received a call from this number. At 12:45pm I received ANOTHER call from 508-475-1924! I answered the phone that time but did not say anything. Man with middle eastern accent said Hello? and then hung up. Has anyone ever received multiple calls from different yet very similar numbers? (same area code, prefix, etc?)
This may be an extortion scam. Scammers use bought/hacked/phished loan application data to extort payments for fictitious debts from victims and victims' families and friends.

THIS NUMBER CALLED, AND A GUY WITH A MIDDLE EASTERN ACCENT ASKED FOR CASSANDRA?. TOLD HIM THERE WAS NO PERSON WITH THAT NAME, AND HE HUNG UP BEFORE I COULD TELL HIM THAT I'M ON THE NO CALL LIST AND NOT TO CALL BACK.
Told me they were from AutoAuction or some such. "Glad to tell me" that my auto loan has been approved from their finance department, oh, and, did I apply for a loan?? No. Told them absolutely not, take my (cell) number off their list. Doubt it'll happen; cell's on DNC list. He told me, "Sorry, thank you ma'am, goodbye." Polite enough, I guess, for a guy/company who's trying to swindle my monies. Middle Eastern sort of accent. Lame.
