This mAN CLAIMED TO BE MARCUS CALLED MY PHONE FROM 508-690-6038 SAYING I OWED HIM MONEY FROM A PAY DAY LOAN. THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS PLEASE... HE CALLED AGAIN BEING IRATE WITH MY MOTHER AND FATHER. MY MOTHER SAID HE THREATRENED ME AND WE HAVE IT ON THE ANSWERING MACHINE. tHANK GOD FOR THE INTERNET CAUSE I WAS ABOUT TO CALL CASH ADVANCE AND SEE WHERE I HAD GOTTTEN A ADVANCE.
Big time HUGE scam - do not pay any attention to their threats - they could not do the things they say they can even if the debt was legitimate. They are lowlife thieves who have stolen peoples information and are using it and threats to try to extort money from you. Look for a posting by "the saint" on this iste - it has alot of information about this scam. These people call form any different numbers using different names - so be prepared for more phone calls.
Got calls today, 2/3/11 at work and home. Thick middle east accent. Threatened to distribute my personal info to internet hackers if I did not pay them. He used very abusive language in a voicemail he left on my work phone. I would advise anyone who gets these calls to report to local police AND FBI.
Although it's a scam, they have personal info on you that could compromise your financial and physical security.
They called me seven times in 20 minutes, I could barely understand them and I know I have never taken out a payday loan. I told him I would take him to court because I never did this and he started yelling at me "oh your going to take me to court". It was very scary how much they know ........... It is very strange
I just received a call at work and on my cell 4 times from a guy with a very thick middle east accent who said his name was Nigel Davis (yeah right) and he said I was being sued by the Feds for 3 counts of check fraud, and other stuff concerning a payday loan. What's scary is that he knew my SSN, where my checking account is at and what city I live. I want to know what to do about this bc now I am deeply disturbed!!! What a bunch of [***]!!
