Received a call from this telephone number. No message was left. Anonymous callback reached a non-descript greeting synonymous with either a charity or telemarketer. I suspect the latter.
Again, is there anything in this site's ToS specifying a maximum number of entries per member/per calling telephone number?
I noted that I would cease multiple posts starting yesterday. Still, if there should be a cap, let's have the site's Admin select one and add it so that registered users, like me, can abide by it. Insofar as going after Sears, it's not worth the effort to go after a company that....by most accounts....won't be in business by the end of the year.
The TOS on this site is very sparse. You can look at it yourself by simply clicking the link. The problem we are having is that there are too many people wanting to post 50 times a day that they received a call. What is the point? Just to tell everyone you got a call? That could be accomplished in one post "Hey I got 25 calls from whoever today". As I said, it messes up the search engines which bring people here, so it defeats the purpose of both this site and your post. As to the administrator making adjustments to the TOS, I have no control over that.
We have asked politely asked several people (as we did you) to respect the site, and to not post continuously every time they receive a call. Those that abide the request have no problems. Those that don't, run the risk of having one of the mods PMA their post until someone makes a decision on what to do with it. So, that is pretty much it in a nutshell, and I for one don't see any point in arguing over it. You can use the "contact us" link to see if you can get to a higher power and argue with them if you so desire.
Because, the bulk of the calls that I receive are from repeat "spammers", I will reserve future posts here for the new ones that occasionally creep through. In the meantime, I'll start to backfill my comments over on whocallsme as I joined fairly recently and need to bring my posts there up to speed with my posts here. Both sites are octonet boards.

Good idea.
Y'see, your previous, frequently repeated posts, such as "they called me again", merely states you did not employ a call blocker for the offending number.
Given the fact that call blockers definitely work to prevent second calls from the same number, one should obtain such a service, app or device to reduce the number of spammy calls. Repeatedly posting "they called me again" in the same threads does not help, but appears to be merely a personal diary of calls. That is NOT the purpose of this site!

For Spam calls that arrive on my smartphone....and I do draw a distinction in my wording when that is the case....steps are taken.
Unlike many others who use VoIP services for use at home, I use Verizon FiOS which is POTS delivered via fiber optic. Options are limited when using POTS, thus, I have installed a business phone system with an auto attendant to thwart auto dialers.
Either way, our discussion here has gone way off topic for this section of the site. I consider the issue closed and am moving on.
