Who called from 5089276006

This number called my DNC-listed landline today at 0924 hours.  Because 98% of all calls I get on my landline are scam artists, I had every reason to believe this was more of the same.  I picked up the phone but said nothing.  This apparently thwarted their system which was obviously waiting for a human voice before triggering either an idiot-message or transferring the call to the next available scam artist.  The number is VoIP, that favorite tool of scam artists everywhere.  When I blocked my caller info and called it back, a message told me that the survey I was calling about yadda, yadda, yadda.  So definitely a scam artist pretending to be a survey because why would the survey no longer be opened when that number called me just moments before?  Scam artists sometimes try to pretend to be a survey in order to get around the DNC laws but they're still scam artists looking for potential victims.

thanks for the info I just received the same on my cell and I do not give out my cell .I didn't answer. oh so many calls and yes our lines are blocked with the dnc and internal dnc its the phone companies selling our #'s for profit the law passed so they can make more $ by asking you to block your phones how clever . whomever in govt passed this law it sucks I had over 15 calls on Thursday some repeat I wish we all could rid ourselves of annoying calls up to 930pm and we have a law no calls before 9am or after 9pm. we did w/o phones years ago and wish we could do it again. fb is agrrevating with advertisements . good luck
