Received a call claiming that i won a free home security system. They told me when i told them i wanted some more information and that i needed a website to search before doing anything with it. I was given the website "securityforceinc.com" to research. I look it up and the number is not the same number i was called from and the copyright on the page expired in 2006. Looks to me like a SCAM - do not deal with these people.
Call over and over and over. Tracing goes back to a place called Security Force Alarms in New Bedford, Mass. They have a zillion numbers. One trace brought back the name of a Marie A Swift, same city. This company recently opened at office in NC about 60 miles from here. Most calls from Mass. but once in a while from the area code of Raleigh NC, where the new office is located. Called five times on July 13th, the last one being at 9 pm on the dot! Would love to know what the deal is. I refuse to talk to them. If they are a credit collector(which I would expect!) they are breaking the law under the guise of this alarm company. I am also on the do not call list.
Hello, I have 4 cell phones on my account and we all have gotten calls from different 508 numbers. If you have Verizon for your cell phone carrier, use the Call Blocking feature:
1. Log on to "My Verizon" at www.verizonwireless.com
2. Select the "My Services" tab
3. Select "Verizon Safeguards"
4. Select "Spam Controls" and enter the number that you want to block
