Legitimate call from Philips Lifeline. I called them yesterday to make a change to my mother's LIfeline Service. Today this number called back (looks like it recorded the number I had called from and called it back, as it is a cellphone unrelated to those in the service's information system). It was a survey with 5 questions - how good was the service, how good was the representative, was my question/inquiry properly met, how long was my wait for a representative, would I recommend Lifeline to someone else (all keypad entry, no personal questions). I answered them as the service was quite good and I was appreciative of the attention from their rep. yesterday.
Caller ID display was "Lifeline System." Recorded call claiming to represent our Philips Lifeline service, which we do have. Message requested survey for previous day service, which also checked out O.K. Press star * if willing to take survey or 2 if not. On the side of caution hung up without pressing 2. As a matter of precautionary principle we don't do phone surveys for any caller.
Ahh, relieved. We also have a "Lifeline" for a family member. Someone in the family mentioned that it could be an emergency, so I called it back and caught the tail end of a message about a survey. They hadn't left a message like they have other times when there was an emergency. So, it must have been that they wanted me to take a survey. I am also one who doesn't appreciate surveys under certain circumstances.
got call from this number. ID said "Lifeline System." Someone in family has called Phillips Lifeline recently. Don't know if this is legitimately Phillips or not.
