Contacted "Security force" directly based in Raleigh: They said it was unusual, probably a Cold call or phishing scam--do not give out your info/enter contests!
This "company" is using my search team, which is currently holding a drawing for a lawnmower/trailer. They are stating that we sold information to them for a entry for a security system, This is 100% inaccurate and the matter has been turned over to Local Law Enforcement. If anyone gets a call and it states that Coastal Carolina Search Team has sold them information, please goto www.coastalcarolinasearchteam.com and follow the instructions to report. Thank You for you time in reading and maybe we can put an end to this.
My husband entered a drawing for a free John deere lawn mower in the mall and a company called "security force" called claiming we won a free system. My foolish husband gave him oyr address and phone numbers and even birth dates. When he started to give his social i had to stop him. Once i got on the phone the man named "brett" was VERY persistent and rude to me about me refusing the system. As i asked him to remove our information he got ruder and still persisted "why did i not want the system".
I entered a drawing for a lawnmower at the county fair LAST YEAR. Now I'm getting calls from Security Force trying to "give" me a GE alarm system, which I don't want. We live so far out in the sticks that, even with monitoring, the fire department wouldn't get here until the house was a pile of cinders. The number they most recently called from is 919-861-1362. I have determined that I will tell them no one more time; next time, I have a nice loud whistle for them.
