Called repeatedly 5-6 times throughout the day when I was at work, spoke with my wife telling her that he is from IRS, and that I am in big trouble with the IRS. In the evening, when I answered the call and asked him not to keep calling, he threatened me that he will send police officers and takeaway my driver license! I called his BS and told him that IRS cannot take away your driver license and hung up.
Received a computer generated message on my home phone saying they were calling from the IRS and that there was a case against me and to please call them back to discuss this issue. Needless to say I will not be calling back and promptly deleted the message
got an automated message about the same thing. I get a call from different numbers and the same automated message. Indicates there are lawsuits piling up and I need to contact the IRS
I got a similar message. I am tired of these junk calls and this is someone impersonating a US government employee. I reported it to the FTC. I don't know if it will do any good, but I am trying. I also reported it to my Missouri Attorney General. The female caller notes this is the IRS and that I must call the number immediately as a lawsuit against me is being prepared. I did not call the number because I realize this is a scammer probably trying to get personal info from me. I also did not want to validate my phone number either. I don't know what we can do to stop these calls. I have been on the government and Missouri no call lists since the inception of the concept. Here is the link to the FTC to report anyone pretending to be someone or from a government agency. https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/Getting ... Selected=t#crnt
