Called @ 5:22pm 08/03/15. Left V/mail stating IRS was suing me, never mention my name or address or tel #: Did not leave name just a recorded message. IRS would not do this, they would have an 800 # to call back during normal bus hours. I am too old to have to file for taxes now and don't earn enough anyway to file. THIS IS A SCAM???
Scams like this that are intended to intimidate...especially seniors...I abhor! I just got my second call...the first one being a few weeks ago. I had some unsettling experiences with the IRS in the past...so my radar is always keen. At first...I was a little worried...but then...I know that IRS dosen't do this...I'd love to [***] slap the person who called...a stern, officious sounding female! Seems to me the government could stop these thieves...intimidating anyone...especially older folks is abominable! I would personally like to turn these fools into mincemeat!!
Got the same stupid voice message today. I immediately looked up the number just to be sure it was a scam. I already knew the IRS doesn't leave such messages. They would send correspondence by mail which would indicate a person's name. Don't be fooled seniors or anyone else.
Automated voice mail calling several times today. Saying it is the IRA and we owe back taxes. Hog Wash, we have always paid out taxes on time and the full amounts. SCAM
