Claim to be the IRS, scammers

I got a call about 2 hours ago from this # telling me he was from the IRS - Jerry Cole - could barely understand him - said IRS had filed a lawsuit against me for evading taxes and told me I was going to be arrested within the hour and not to disconnect my # - Just got another call from them again.

So after receiving multiple calls and voicemail from this number I decided to use my time wisely and repeatedly call them with different accents and such.

I feel better knowing that I am wasting their time preventing them from talking with another who might be gullible.

I was hung up on for asking why the IRS outsourced their collection calls.

I was hung up on for asking why the number shows up for Spokane, WA when that is the other side of the country from the IRS real call center.

I offered my tax consulting prowess (of which I have none) to the person. I was hung up on again.

How come no one there wants to play with me?

Has called 4 or 5 times even though I told them that I knew they weren't IRS.  Using up minutes on my phone.  Very unhappy!!!

3 calls in less than 6 hours starting at 7:30 a.m. leaving messages that it was urgent regarding a lawsuit.  Needless to say, we didn't call them back!
