Have received several calls over the last week...several = dozens, they finally left a message telling me something about putting a tax lien on my "name". I should have known when they said to call "Officer James Brown" back at the number!! I have already called the police, they are on their way now. I am so sick of these #%@&S% calling!!
BEWARE PEOPLE!!! DO NOT give anyone any information over the phone. If it was really the IRS, they would send you something in your regular delivery mail, or have you sign to receive it!!!!
Today a message left on my VM to call "Officer James Brown." It just so happens that I work for the IRS. Report the call to TIGTA which is the law enforcement arm of the US Department of Treasury. There is a form on their web site for reporting phone scams. Let there be no doubt - this IS a scam.
Sept 8, 2014 at 10:08pm, caller id Unavailable and left the message that he is from IRS and to call him at 509-774-0260. He said his name is James Brown. This happened twice already and the first one who called was a lady.
