Oh! I'm about ready to pee my pants (NOT) the IRS is going to sue me ----- (for what, paying too much tax?). What a SCAM!
Call came in from area code 509-774-6009 as a "Washington Call"...Eastern or Central Washington State, not Washington DC. and the threatening woman's voice said I should call AC 208-904-8071 immediately, or else. AC 208 is in Idaho...... When did the IRS move?
My complaint, the Idaho number has to be somewhat valid, why can't the government crack down on them at that number?
The first part of the voicemail, which was automated, was cut off but started with "about this case number call 208-904-8071". Looked up both numbers and others are saying that they are saying they are the IRS and are going to sue us. :) Didn't call the other number. I'm smart enough to know it's scammers trying to get info. I just block them and move on with my day. I hope nobody falls for this scam and gives out any info. If the IRS is going to sue you, they will notify you by mail, not by phone call and automated system. Have a blessed day!
