This so called collector only wanted me to verify my lisc number and other personal information before they could tell me the purpose for the call. They had my full name and caller id ( my name showed ) but he was argumentative about me giving him my info. When I said what is this regarding , because I don't know who this is , his reply was I don't know if you are who you say you are, unless you give me information. I have no accounts in collection. Definately scammers.

Just called back to get the co name and website info. The agent answered without giving co name. He asked if I had account number to which I replied no. Then he verifies my name and wants to the last four of my social security number. I said I am not giving info over the phone , he did not give me their website. He then starts reading off addresses wanting me to verify if they were mine.

acs started calling multiple times a day, followed by calls from 510-370-0619 and 510-370-0649.
These three numbers call 6 days a week, sometimes 2-3 times per day.
All three numbers were blocked on my cellphone from the very first day.
Me and my wife are both 74 and retired since december 1999. We have absolutely no idea as to why they're calling.
I’m a retired airline captain, and my wife is retired from the fed government. We both have 100% medical from our retirement, hence no good, valid reason(s) why they're calling.
Monthly utility bill is fixed at $280.00,
no mortgage.
No car loans.
No credit card debt.
No co-signer for any personal or business loan(s), virtually no nothing.
Myself and my wife check our three credit reports on the first of every month. Nothing shows delinquent, 30/60/90 days pass due, no charge off(s), no bankruptcy etc..
We are not signers or co-signers to any personal or business loan(s), student loan(s), car loan(s) or any other kind of loan(s).
My lowest credit rating is 840 out of the three.
My wife’s lowest credit rating is 845 out of the three.
There have been no demand letter(s) or notice(s) sent to my residence or p.O. Box number.
I/we haven’t the slightest clue as to why acs is calling or to whom i/we supposedly owe money too.
Between friday, 30 september, 2016 and today, sunday, 08 january, 2017 i have received a total of 118 (blocked) calls from 510-370-0484, 510-370-0619 & 510-370-0649..
There are several debt collectors with that or similar names. My advice is to first report them to the following two agencies. If you can determine their address, you need to send them a certified, return receipt letter telling them to cease and desist calling you (letter is required by law to assert your rights).

Adding to BigA's response, it's likely a skip trace for someone else. Those campaigns can last for months until you tell the agency squarely that you can't help and to quit calling. Discussion of "not me" cases is linked below.
