Many months ago I had received a call from the number and they identified themselves as Microsoft related computer folks. (They apparently knew I had a problem that I didn't know about!). After reading about them on these threads, I put them in my cell phone as a "Contact" called "Microsoft Scam". That way I wouldn't be wasting my time answering.
Lo and behold, I got a call this morning from that number. I decided to answer because I'm trying to perfect my Indian accent, but it wasn't the computer people. It was the Mortgage people. How amazing is that? 2 totally different companies with exactly the same phone number and both have Indian accents.
My recommendation - add this number under "SCAM" in your contact list. I doesn't matter which scam it is. But I assure you, it's a scam!
These creepy people have called our house twice now....last call was this morning at 7:46......first call, a couple of days ago, comprised of a man asking for my husband, told him my husband wasn't home (he was standing right beside me)....then the guy asked if we had a lot of credit cards, i.e. "debt"......I asked him for his home phone number and my husband would be happy to give him a call. The guy hung up immediately. This morning's call was "silence"......I said "hello" twice and then told them to quit calling our house. This is total scamming. Do NOT even stay on the line when you get one of these calls. And never but never do any question & answer surveys. You don't know who is on the other end.......use your instincts people, that is what they are for.
They called my boyfriend and when my boyfriend said he was on the "DO NOT CALL" list the [***] on the other end repeatedly started pushing buttons hung up and called back again this went on for a few more calls then this person on the line started talking [***] about his mother and kept saying" [***] america" Needless to say that this number is not only a scam but a [***] assbag.
