CAP SVCS on caller id. Prerecorded message about last chance to lower credit card interest rates. Press 1 to speak to rep or 2 to disconnect. I pressed 1 for fun. Some foreign girl answered saying they would lower my interest rate from over 10% to 6%. She said I have over $3000 in card debt. I have $0 card debt. She wanted card expiration date. I gave her an inaccurate date. She wanted to know if it was visa or m/c. I said yes. She wanted my card #. I asked what country she was in. She hung up. Darn--
Now I will let my computer answer any more of their calls. It is antisocial and will just hang up on them. Filled out a complaint form with the FCC. This does seem to help some with phone calls.
THESE A**HOLES KEEP CALLING ME FROM TIME TO TIME, I'VE REPORTED THEM TO THE DO NOT CALL LIST, AND THE CALLS CONTINUE, AND WHEN YOU TRY TO CALL THEM BACK YOU CAN'T WHO IN THE HECK IS THIS.....IF ANYONE FINDS OUT PLEASE LET ME KNOW...THANX
They just called here (Seattle area).
The number of these telemarketing calls has gotten so bad at our house that we purchased a device that intercepts all calls. The caller must then PRESS ONE to continue the call (the recording says this). Since the robocall has no human connected at that point, they do not know to do this. I inform our friends and anyone else, as well, how to get through "the system."
My next step is just to have the land line disconnected completely -- it is that bad.
BTW -- I agree to never call them back or tell them to remove your number. If you do that, they know it is valid and sell it to others. I am convinced of this by the INCREASE in the number of calls I got when I tried it a few times.
NEVER BUY OR DONATE TO ANYONE WHO CALLS. That is the only way we can ever get this to stop and enjoy peace in our own homes!
