When these faxes/calls come in, they show up "private number." Since we are an automotive repair shop, we are required to answer all calls coming in. These people fax stuff religiously at 2 in the morning. No matter how many times we have requested to be removed, they continue faxing crap and tying up our phone line.
You will have to sue these idiots to get them to stop. If you can find other businesses that they are harassing, you can get a class-action lawsuit going.
Just unplug your fax machine after closing time (hard to remember to do) or put its power cord into a timer so that it turns off about 30 minutes after closing.
Another alternative is to use a computer with a fax modem and have it catch all fax calls. Then all your incoming faxes are in digital form and easy to store and you can decide what you want to print. Have this one on only at night so the scammers get what they want but won't use up you other fax machine's paper.
I have requested numerous times to be removed from this ILLEGAL SPAM but NO ONE LISTENS. I'm tired of it. Today was no different. We received a fax wanting to know our full business name, address, phone, email, average monthly gross sales, etc. DOES IT EVER STOP?!?!?!
